Congress Worked on a Two Billion Dollars Aid Bill for Israel. The Israel Government Says, ‘Nah, Make it Ten Billion.’

Over the last year and a half, Ukraine President Volodymyr Zelensky kept himself busy repeatedly demanding more money, supplies, and weapons from the United States and other governments to pay for Ukraine’s war against Russia. No matter how much was given, he never accepted it as enough. More, more, more aid, he constantly demanded.

It looks like the Israel government is starting off in its new war on the same course of aid demands as the Ukraine government has pursued.

The FBI, Ukraine’s Censorship Assistant

After Elon Musk gained control of Twitter, he made available to a small group of reporters Twitter records known as the Twitter Files. Among the Twitter Files is information regarding efforts by the United States government along with Twitter to censor communication on the social media platform in the time before Musk gained control of Twitter. The newest revelations from the Twitter Files, detailed by Aaron Maté, concern the US government, via the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), having acted as an assistant to the Ukraine government’s main intelligence agency, the Security Service of Ukraine (SBU), to seek censorship of 163 targeted Twitter accounts — Maté’s included — as well as personal information related to those Twitter accounts.

The Peace Candidate Versus the Freedom Candidate in the Republican Presidential Primary

Donald Trump continued last week his effort to present himself as the peace candidate in the 2024 Republican presidential primary. Trump took another big step in this this endeavor when, during a Wednesday CNN “town hall” event in New Hampshire, he stated, when asked if as president he would continue the United States government sending money and weapons to the Ukraine government and whether he supports Ukraine winning its war against Russia, that the important thing to do is stop all the killing by settling the war quickly. Trump insisted that as president he could bring about such a settlement “in one day, 24 hours.”

Also last week, Florida Governor Ron DeSantis, a much-talked-about potential primary competitor for Trump, headlined events on Thursday and Friday at which he signed bills into law and made presentations that could help to define himself as the freedom candidate in the Republican presidential primary should he end up throwing his hat into the ring.

Dennis Kucinich Discusses the Pressure on Congress Members to Support War

Dennis Kucinich proved his antiwar bona fides over 16 years in the United States House of Representatives as a Democrat from Ohio and two campaigns for the Democratic Party presidential nomination. In a new interview with host Chris Hedges at The Chris Hedges Report, Kucinich discusses some of the pressure members of Congress are under that helps ensure that few members speak out against war like he did.

Report: Even President Biden Is Aggravated by Ukraine President’s Nonstop Demand for More Money

President Joe Biden has been a top pusher for the United States and other governments to shovel an apparently never-ending supply of money and weapons to the Ukraine government, while imposing sanctions on Russia that have severely hurt some sanctioners while seemingly leaving the sanctionee doing just fine. “Anything for Ukraine” seems to be the tack of Biden and his cohort who are using the country as a means to attack Russia.

Dennis Kucinich Says Use Diplomacy to End War

Former United States House of Representatives member and presidential candidate Dennis Kucinich (D-OH) remains a reliable advocate for peace, even when it seems that the United States president and every Democrat in Congress is committed to pursuing endless war and rejecting giving peace a chance relative to US policy regarding Ukraine and Russia.

Americans, Overcoming Nonstop Propaganda, are Increasingly Not Worried about Russia Defeating or Even Taking Over Ukraine

The propaganda masters at the big money media and the United States government have pulled out all the stops in their effort to stir up Americans to oppose Russia in its war with Ukraine and to support extreme and expensive efforts of the US government to help the Ukraine government’s side in that war. But, as time has worn on, Americans are increasingly saying it is not a big deal to them whether Russia, led by supposed archvillain Vladimir Putin, wins the war or even takes over Ukraine.

Joe Biden’s Political Future in Europe

President Joe Biden’s popularity among American voters has been in descent since he took the oath of office in January of 2021. Indeed, by May 25 of this year, Biden’s approval rating, as related by Paul Bedard in a Washington Examiner editorial, had fallen below that of every president back through Harry Truman at that point in their presidencies. And Biden’s approval rating has continued to drop since then.

What is Biden to do? From within his Democratic Party, the message is increasingly put out that Biden should not seek reelection in 2024.

Iraqis’ Oil Did Not Pay for Rebuilding Iraq; Russians’ Yachts Will Not Pay for the US War on Russia.

In March of 2003, as the United States military prepared for its imminent invasion of Iraq, Paul Wolfowitz suggested to US Congress members that the US would not foot the bill for rebuilding Iraq after the devastation the US invasion would bring to the country. Wolfowitz, who was then deputy secretary of defense, assured Congress members that Iraq, through its oil revenue, could pay for its own reconstruction.

The AXIS Act, a Step toward World War III

The Axis powers, including Germany and Japan, were the foes of the United States and other Allied powers in World War II. Decades later, President George W. Bush chose to term some other nations — Iraq, Iran, and North Korea — as a new “axis of evil.” That was followed by a US invasion and overthrow in Iraq. Decades later, US troops remain in Iraq, and US sanctions and hostility directed at the other two nations continue.

This week, the United States House of Representatives is set to bring the Axis designation back to the big time — seeking to lump China in with Russia as the new Axis powers the US should be devoted to opposing. The movement toward a new world war — the first one with nuclear powers on both sides — grows stronger.
