Many of the often talked about potential Republican candidates to succeed Donald Trump in the presidency are supporters of Trump’s war against Iran. This includes two people at the top of many lists who are among the Trump administration’s most vocal Iran War advocates — Vice President J.D. Vance and Secretary of State Marco Rubio.

For a third United States presidential election in a row, US agents are out warning of Russian election interference.
In a video monologue released this week, Libertarian Party Chairman Angela McArdle, framed by rainbows, announced her intention to use the campaign of the newly nominated Libertarian Party presidential ticket of Chase Oliver and Mike ter Maat to ensure that presumptive Republican Party presidential nominee Donald Trump is elected president this November.
Americans have become accustomed to watching presidential debates, or at least seeing excerpts of them or reports on them, as part of the process of deciding who to vote for. These debates have become a routine, expected part of the election process. But, there is no requirement for successful candidates to participate in debates. This year looks like it could be the first time in a long time in which an American president is elected who has participated in zero debates, either in the primary contest or the general election.
On April 10, I wrote about Republican presidential candidates being open to pursuing war on Mexico — sending the US military into Mexico to fight drug cartels despite the opposition of the Mexico government to such intervention.
Donald Trump continued last week his effort to present himself as the peace candidate in the 2024 Republican presidential primary. Trump took another big step in this this endeavor when, during a Wednesday CNN “town hall” event in New Hampshire, he stated, when asked if as president he would continue the United States government sending money and weapons to the Ukraine government and whether he supports Ukraine winning its war against Russia, that the important thing to do is stop all the killing by settling the war quickly. Trump insisted that as president he could bring about such a settlement “in one day, 24 hours.”
Also last week, Florida Governor Ron DeSantis, a much-talked-about potential primary competitor for Trump, headlined events on Thursday and Friday at which he signed bills into law and made presentations that could help to define himself as the freedom candidate in the Republican presidential primary should he end up throwing his hat into the ring.
A Monday article at Politico makes the case that Donald Trump will likely be running as the peace candidate among individuals vying to be the 2024 Republican presidential nominee.
Voting for the Guy Who Fired You
“Vote for me; I’m the guy who fired you because you didn’t take experimental coronavirus ‘vaccine’ shots.” “Vote for me; I’m the guy who made you take experimental coronavirus ‘vaccine’ shots to keep your job.” These are far from persuasive campaign slogans. But, these slogans are what hundreds of thousands to millions of people who voted for President Joe Biden a year ago will be hearing in their heads come election day in 2024 should Biden be the Democratic presidential nominee.
One of the most disturbing developments over the last few years in big money media in America is the blanket characterization of people who disagree with the big money media’s narrative on important matters as liars.
President Donald Trump’s reelection campaign is pursuing recounts and court challenges in an effort to establish that Trump won the popular vote in several states that media organizations have said were won by Democratic Party presidential nominee Joe Biden. Even if the campaign’s efforts are unsuccessful, state legislators in some or all of these states, should they conclude the election in their states was won by Trump, could exercise their power under the United States Constitution to award Trump’s electors in those states entrance to the Electoral College that will vote in December on who becomes president and vice president.
Thus, there is an avenue for Trump to win the presidential election even if his recount and court efforts are not successful.
