On Saturday, Flávio Bolsonaro officially launched his campaign to become president of Brazil. If he wins the race, Bolsonaro will succeed Brazil President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva who succeeded Bolsonaro’s father in the positiocampaignn three and a half years ago. Bolsonaro’s campaign event suggested that, should he win, he will join with the three “best buds” Israel Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, United States President Donald Trump, and Argentina President Javier Milei who are united by devotion to the Israel government and its US-backed wars.

The Israel government has done a lot to earn dislike through bringing death and destruction on a vast scale. People are seeing Israel’s attacks in the last few years on Gaza, Lebanon, Iran, and beyond as using destructive force that is not just defensive and focused on military targets. General annihilation is seen as a clear objective.

A high-level national security official in the Trump administration resigned from his position on Tuesday. National Counterterrorism Center Director Joe Kent cited as the reason for his resignation that he “cannot in good conscience support the ongoing war in Iran.”
Publicly denouncing war and liberals was a regular part of Donald Trump’s communication in his 2024 presidential campaign. Yet, as president, Trump has been relying on the responsibility to protect idea associated with liberals he would normally ridicule as a basis for the US engaging in wars abroad.
Hundreds of thousands of “ultra-Orthodox” men protested this week in the Israel city of Jerusalem in opposition to the Israel government enforcing a military draft of members of their communities. You may not hear much about the protest from American media, but a Thursday Times of Israel report provides a rundown of some of the protest activities in Jerusalem. The United States government has over the last couple years provided weapons hand over fist to support the Israel government in it bringing a great amount of death and destruction to Gaza. In answer to a reporter’s question Tuesday at the White House, Trump suggested the US government may soon take things to the next level — directly engaging in war in Gaza.
