Many journalists covered the huge funeral this month of Iran leader Ali Khamenei who was killed in the initial United States and Israel joint attack on Iran that started the ongoing Iran War. Among the reporters from America, Max Blumenthal of The Grayzone was singled out by the US government for harassment and the seizure of his phones upon his return to his home country.

Publicly denouncing war and liberals was a regular part of Donald Trump’s communication in his 2024 presidential campaign. Yet, as president, Trump has been relying on the responsibility to protect idea associated with liberals he would normally ridicule as a basis for the US engaging in wars abroad.
The United States government has gone far astray from following the policy of nonintervention overseas espoused by Founders, including George Washington in his presidential farewell address in 1797. Instead of avoiding intervention abroad, the US has pursued it with vehemence in recent decades, with the turning point arguably being the US going to war against Spain in 1898 — just over a hundred years after Washington’s farewell address.
The Donald Trump administration is offering no good reason to deport Mahmoud Khalil, who was involved in protests at Columbia University in New York City related to the Israel government and to United States government support for that government. He is not charged with a crime of violence or fraud. He is just singled out for advancing communication that challenged US foreign policy — exercising rights listed in the First Amendment of the US Constitution.
Sen. Mitch McConnell (R-KY) is set to no longer be the leader of Senate Republicans when Donald Trump is sworn in as president next month. But, McConnell will remain in the Senate. Individuals seeking an anti-war candidate to support in the United States presidential race will be looking into Oliver’s views in regard to war and peace.
Scott Ritter has been a go-to source for information about what has really been happening in the Ukraine War, instead of the spin from the big money media and United States government officials. He has also been a very vocal critic of US government support for the Ukraine government throughout the war.
Thus, it is sadly not a surprise that on Friday Google-owned YouTube deplatformed two shows through which Ritter has been sharing his views. YouTube is no friend of people who challenge US foreign intervention.
Cornel West Says End the Wars
Cornel West was well known and liked by many before he made his early June announcement that he is running for president. That has given West’s Green Party presidential campaign a good foundation upon which to build. A poll from late June suggests West may have support of four percent of voters in a hypothetical presidential election choice among West, Republican Donald Trump, and Democrat Joe Biden.
Libertarian communicator Ron Paul discussed the American economy and United States foreign policy, including the ongoing war in Ukraine, in a new interview with host Jay Martin at the Jay Martin Show. In the 45-minutes interview released on Tuesday, Paul has the opportunity to get into the details of these important matters.
