With the United States presidential election day less than two weeks away, some people will be looking at third party presidential candidates to see if there is one that supports a noninterventionist foreign policy. They will be doing so in large part because they see Republican nominee Donald Trump as not living up to his effort to be seen as the peace candidate in the race and Democratic nominee Kamala Harris as wedded to extreme foreign intervention, with her supporting the Biden administration’s fostering of Ukraine and Israel’s wars as examples.

Independent presidential candidate Robert F. Kennedy, Jr. is not a libertarian. Neither has he claimed to be one.
Nevertheless, in a Saturday interview with host Michael Smerconish at CNN, Kennedy said his campaign, which has “a very good relationship with the Libertarian Party,” is “looking at” the possibility of him seeking the party’s presidential nomination.
Cornel West Says End the Wars
Cornel West was well known and liked by many before he made his early June announcement that he is running for president. That has given West’s Green Party presidential campaign a good foundation upon which to build. A poll from late June suggests West may have support of four percent of voters in a hypothetical presidential election choice among West, Republican Donald Trump, and Democrat Joe Biden.

Libertarian Party presidential nominee Jo Jorgensen is fond of posting the phrase “Black Lives Matter” and its hashtag variant “#BlackLivesMatter” at her Twitter page. Check out her tweets here, here, here, here, here, and here for examples from this and last month.
But, if you dare declare “All Lives Matter” at your personal social media account, Jorgensen stands ready to cheer your employer firing you in response. That is a message Jorgensen communicated in a July 11 interview at C-SPAN.
In 2016, former Massachusetts Governor Bill Weld received the Libertarian Party’s vice-presidential nomination. This year, having returned to the Republican Party, Weld is challenging President Donald Trump for the Republican Party’s presidential nomination.
Many people would assume that Weld would be criticizing Trump for ordering this week’s killing in Iraq of Iranian General Qassim Suleimani. This assumption would make sense given the libertarian position favoring nonintervention overseas.
So, you think the United States government is too big and powerful and that power should be returned to state and local governments? Well, Adam Kokesh may be your presidential candidate — if you are willing to take your thinking to the extreme.
