Will Flávio Bolsonaro become the Fourth Amigo?

On Saturday, Flávio Bolsonaro officially launched his campaign to become president of Brazil. If he wins the race, Bolsonaro will succeed Brazil President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva who succeeded Bolsonaro’s father in the positiocampaignn three and a half years ago. Bolsonaro’s campaign event suggested that, should he win, he will join with the three “best buds” Israel Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, United States President Donald Trump, and Argentina President Javier Milei who are united by devotion to the Israel government and its US-backed wars.

Ron Paul Rewind: 2008 Interview with Bill Moyers

Bill Moyers is properly being described as “legendary” in reporting on his death this week. The long-time journalist excelled at discussing ideas in a thoughtful manner. And, as an interviewer Moyers regularly welcomed elaboration from people, even when he disagreed with them. Education was a steady product of his many broadcasts.

Peter Schiff Rebuts Donald Trump’s Plan for a US Sovereign Wealth Fund

At his Peter Schiff Show, host Peter Schiff specializes in throwing cold water on the assertions of politicians and people in the media concerning American economic matters. Though partial to Donald Trump over Kamala Harris in the 2024 presidential race, Schiff is still quick to rebut Trump when Schiff sees Trump offering proposals that are economically ignorant and destructive.

Kamala Harris Hides from the Press

Like president, like vice president. United States President Joe Biden has been notorious since early in his presidential term for ducking press conferences, interviews, and other opportunities for journalists to ask him difficult or just unexpected questions. Now, in the third week of her presidential run, Kamala Harris is following in Biden’s course of extreme avoiding of media questioning.

Gerald Celente, a Very Early Backer of a Kennedy Presidential Run, Withdraws Support due to Kennedy’s Israel War Position

Back in December of 2022, virtually nobody was even thinking of the possibility that Rober F. Kennedy, Jr. may run in the 2024 presidential race. One of the few individuals who was thinking of this possibility was political commentor and trends forecaster Gerald Celente. Speaking with host David Knight at the David Knight Show, Celente then not only mentioned the possibility, he enthusiastically recommended that Kennedy run with legal scholar Andrew Napolitano, a former New Jersey state judge, as his vice president  running mate.

Kennedy: ‘As President, my support of Israel will be unconditional.’

Democratic presidential candidate Robert F. Kennedy, Jr. took his expression of support for the government of Israel to the maximum level in a Wednesday Twitter post. After criticizing the administration of President Joe Biden for “threatening Israel with the ending of the special relationship between” Israel and the United States, Kennedy declared, “As President, my support of Israel will be unconditional.”

Kennedy Campaign Supporters Sound Like My Kind of People

Columnist Michelle Goldberg makes her disdain for presidential candidate Robert F. Kennedy, Jr. clear in her Friday New York Times editorial. She paints Kennedy as a dangerous “crank.” But, when Goldberg wrote in the editorial generally about supporters of Kennedy she encountered at a June campaign event in New Hampshire, her description seems to be closer to objective and is in line with what I have observed from afar.

Ron DeSantis Joins the Wage War on Mexico Chorus

In a post last week, I pondered whether Republican presidential candidate Ron DeSantis would stand up against talk by frontrunner Donald Trump, and several other Republican presidential primary candidates, favorable to the United States going to war against Mexico.

A week later, it appears the answer is “no.” Instead of opposing the call for war on Mexico, DeSantis is advocating for it.

Donald Trump in New Campaign Video is Following Through on Running as the Peace Candidate

On February 8, I wrote about indications that Donald Trump may run as the peace candidate in the 2024 Republican presidential primary. Concluding, I commented, “We’ll see if Trump follows through with this campaign strategy.” This week, the Trump campaign released a new video of Trump speaking about matters related to war and peace. The video indicates that Trump is indeed following through on that peace candidate campaign strategy.
