Robert F. Kennedy, Jr.’s presidential campaign announcement speech on Wednesday included much that advocates of limiting the power of the United Sates government can cheer, including strong criticism of the US government’s crackdown in the name of countering coronavirus and of the series of wars in which the US government has engaged from Vietnam to Ukraine. We’ll be watching and listening as Kennedy in the coming months expands on this criticism and discusses his promised different approach.

Rashida Tlaib (D-MI) is seeking cosigners for a letter to United States Attorney General Merrick Garland calling on him to “uphold the First Amendment’s protections for the freedom of the press by dropping the criminal charges against Australian publisher Julian Assange and withdrawing the American extradition request currently pending with the British government.”
Many United States Congress members have been recently diving with gusto into a hatefest against social media website TikTok. Some of them are even supporting legislation that would ban the website in America and pose additional extreme threats to freedom.

Back in grade school PE class the coach would, on occasion, have the students sit together on the gymnasium floor for a short lecture. One of those lectures I have thought about periodically in the years since. It is the lecture in which the coach described the enriched bread scam.
