Trump, in contrast, ran for president proclaiming his desire to end the Ukraine War promptly and Wednesday morning posted at Truth Social a recounting of a conversation he had just completed with Putin. That post by Trump is bursting with optimism about negotiating to soon end the war, as well as with kind comments regarding Putin and Russia.
