On Sunday, a collection of opponents of the United States government’s involvement in the Ukraine War spoke at a rally in front of the Lincoln Memorial in Washington, DC. The event titled Rage Against the War Machine included speakers who hold differing views on many political matters but agree that the US government should end its involvement in the war.

“Defeating the Russians in Ukraine is the single most important event going on in the world right now.” That was the pitch of United States Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-KY) in a Fox News interview when he was asked about newly released Associated Pres-NORC poll results indicating a significant decrease in support among Americans for the US government’s efforts against Russia in the Ukraine War.
Enough is enough; the United States should stop aiding Ukraine financially and militarily. That is the stand of eleven House members who are the original backers of the Ukraine Fatigue Resolution in the United States House of Representatives.
With the United States and a few other nations dumping money and weapons nonstop into Ukraine in an apparent effort to ensure the Ukraine War continues until the death of the last Ukrainian soldier, it can seem that peace has no chance. In fact, it can seem that much more likely than peace breaking out is the war escalating into a full-out world war.
Julian Assange should be freed, and the Ukraine War should be ended right away. These are two views expressed by Jeremy Corbyn, the former Labour Party leader of Great Britain. These views are in sharp contrast with views typically expressed by prominent politicians of Corbyn’s nation that has imprisoned Assange for extradition to the United States as well as funded and armed Ukraine’s war against Russia.
