Forget about helping — try to keep a straight face on this one — the democracy and freedom supporting nation of Ukraine. United States Secretary of State Antony Blinken was out last week promoting a new reason to continue supporting the Ukraine War — ensuring there are more American jobs in the military-industrial complex.

United States Secretary of State Antony Blinken, speaking Wednesday in the African country Congo, expressed concern about the detention of Jean-Marc Kabund, the former vice president of Congo’s parliament. Blinken referred to the detention of Kabund as “a possible setback to the importance of having the right environment for elections and the civic space with the detention of a opposition political leader.”
In a Sunday Target Liberty editorial, Robert Wenzel provides some advice for President Donald Trump, who Wenzel relates has decided to “surround himself with warmongers” in executive department positions despite Trump seeming to want to move foreign policy in a different direction. Trump would have been wise, writes Wenzel, to choose different people for Trump administration personnel, including hiring Rep. Tulsi Gabbard (D-HI), Sen. Rand Paul (R-KY), and Ron Paul Institute Executive Director Daniel McAdams for important foreign policy-related positions.
