Leaders of ‘Largest Libertarian Student Organization in the World’ Say Sanction Venezuela

You would likely expect leaders of Students for Liberty to oppose the imposing of sanctions on Venezuela. After all, the organization claims at its website that it is the “largest libertarian student organization in the world” and libertarians are known for their support for a noninterventionist foreign policy. That noninterventionist approach includes opposition to imposing sanctions on other countries to bring about “regime change” or to force changes in government policies in those countries.

Ron Paul Talks In-depth about the Afghanistan War

A new interview with Ron Paul starts with a video clip of Paul speaking on the United States House of Representatives floor in March of 2011 when Paul was a Republican member of the House from Texas. In the clip, Paul says that, if US troops were not withdrawn that year from Afghanistan where they had already been fighting for approaching ten years, they would remain there for another ten. “You were right on with that prediction” commented Kitco News host David Lin after the clip and before Lin and Paul began an informative discussion in which Paul provided an overview of the US government’s twenty-year debacle in Afghanistan.

How Ron Paul Stopped the US Government from Imposing a National Vaccine Passport

Who do Americans have to thank for the United States government not subjecting them to a national vaccine passport like those being imposed by national governments in Europe? Megan Redshaw wrote in a Wednesday article at Children’s Health Defense that the credit goes to Ron Paul who, while serving as a member of the US House of Representatives, led the effort to bar the US government from creating for each American a “unique health identifier” number.

Ron Paul Reflects on His Time in the US House of Representatives

Ron Paul was not the chairman of a full committee and he did not hold a party leadership position during his 23 years in the United States House of Representatives. Neither was Paul focused in the House on expanding the use of government power via legislation. Nonetheless, Paul managed to use his elected office to achieve a very significant objective — helping make people aware of, and educate them about, the importance of protecting liberty and the related imperative of reducing the reach of government.

The Ludwig von Mises Institute is putting on an event on November 7 in Angleton, Texas at which prominent libertarian communicator Ron Paul will be the featured speaker. The event, titled Symposium with Ron Paul, is hosted by Lew Rockwell and Jeff Deist of the Mises Institute. Daniel McAdams, the executive director of the Ron Paul Institute for Peace and Prosperity, will also speak at the event.
