Special interests are continually finagling to gain more support from the United States government that oversees a vast trove of money and power. A vote just after midnight Friday morning in the US House of Representatives suggests that the government of Israel is at the top of the heap of special interests when it comes to being able to extract benefits from the US with very widespread support from American legislators.

On November 9, a few days after Donald Trump won election to return to the White House, I wrote an article titled “Defunding NPR.” In the article, I presented reasons why “a spending cut that jumps out as among the most obvious for [Department of Government Efficiency leader Elon Musk] and the incoming Donald Trump administration to pursue is eliminating all US government support for National Public Radio (NPR) and its affiliated programing and radio stations.” Here is an update.

On Sunday, Twitter declared it had permanently banned the personal account of United States House of Representatives Member Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) in reaction to some of her posts at Twitter related to coronavirus. And she is far from alone among American politicians whose voices have been curtailed or silenced on social media platforms that disapprove the politicians’ expressed views. Most famously among them, Donald Trump, in his final weeks as president of the United States, was banished from top audience social media platforms.

The US House of Representatives is Voting on Stripping Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene of Her Committee Memberships because … Whatever. Who Needs a Reason Anyway?

The United States House of Representatives is having a floor vote this week on H.Res. 72, a resolution to strip Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) of her committee memberships. This is a novel and severe punishment for a House floor vote to impose on a House member.

So what exactly is Greene, who joined the House in January after winning election in November, alleged to have done that merits this extreme response? Let’s take a look at the resolution to read the accusations of nefarious behavior.
