Donald Trump choosing Robert F. Kennedy, Jr. to be secretary of the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) has been met with much pushback from many prominent communicators in politics, media, and business. This is largely because Kennedy appears to be the real deal — a dedicated “swamp drainer” for much of the government activities under the control of HHS.

It will feature speeches by RPI Chairman Ron Paul and Executive Director Daniel McAdams as well as individuals from the Mises Institute.

Hotels, a Refuge for Free Speech
This century we have seen a major crackdown on free speech in America. The crackdown has shut off much free speech, including at colleges and social media websites where free speech had before seemed quite welcome.
Sunday afternoon, the Mises Institute’s week-long education event Mises University kicks off. And, on Saturday, the final day of the event, Ron Paul Institute (RPI) Executive Director Daniel McAdams will be the event’s penultimate speaker, presenting a lecture titled “Foreign Policy is Welfare for the Rich.”
The headline at Reuters today reads “Instagram bans Robert F. Kennedy Jr. over COVID-19 vaccine misinformation.” Misinformation? Not really. What Kennedy has been providing is information different from what government, along with big money media and social media have been pushing over the last year in America — the long-time fearmongering concerning coronavirus and praising of coronavirus crackdowns, as well as the recent incessant promoting that everyone should take the experimental coronavirus vaccines.

Bye-Bye, Libertarian Party Chairman
United States Libertarian Party Chairman Nicholas Sarwark announced at Facebook last night that he will not seek reelection as party chairman at the Libertarian Party national convention in late May.
A Thursday profile of Rep. Thomas Massie (R-KY) at the Cincinnati Enquirer declares that “neighbors, colleagues and friends all agree: Massie, who is running this year for a fifth term, is one of the most unusual members of the US House.” You can read the profile here and learn about Massie’s independent voting in the House of Representatives as well as some of his activities before he became a House member, including starting a business and building his family’s off-the-grid house.
In April, I wrote that it looked like Future of Freedom Foundation President Jacob Hornberger may run for president of the United States. As I noted then, many people familiar with the Ron Paul Institute for Peace and Prosperity (RPI) have read some of Hornberger’s articles at the RPI website or watched one of his speeches at an RPI event. Here is an update: On Saturday, Hornberger announced he is seeking the Libertarian Party’s presidential nomination.
