Florida Legislature Fails to Repeal the State’s Vaccine Mandates

In September of last year, Florida Surgeon General Joseph Ladapo boldly announced that the Florida Department of Health that he runs, along with Florida Governor Ron DeSantis, would be working to eliminate all vaccine mandates in the state. While Ladapo said some mandates would be eliminated by the state health department, eliminating other mandates, he noted, would require action by the governor and state legislature.

California Repeals its New Tax Increase on Marijuana

On Monday, California Governor Gavin Newsom signed into law a repeal of a substantial tax increase on marijuana sales in the state. By raising the cost of marijuana on the legal market, the tax increase was leading people to opt instead for making purchases on the black market.

NDAA May Terminate Coronavirus Shots Mandate for Military Members

Mike Brest reported Tuesday at the Washington Examiner that the “House of Representatives has come to an agreement to put language in the annual defense funding bill that would end the Pentagon’s coronavirus vaccine mandate for service members against President Joe Biden and Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin’s stances.”
