This week, statewide mask mandates terminated in two states — Iowa and Montana.
While state governments were giving the OK for ditching masks, President Joe Biden was telling reporters Thursday at the National Institutes of Health that people should keep wearing masks until at least next year, claiming that doing so “can save lives, a significant number of lives.”
Talk about bad junk mail. President Joe Biden’s administration is considering delivering masks to all Americans — in the name of countering coronavirus, of course.
The United States government’s distribution of these unneeded masks would be both a waste of money and a significant step in advancing the mask mandate tyranny in America.
People covering their faces from the nose down as they go about their daily activities, as demanded by many governments and businesses in the name of countering coronavirus, is dehumanizing. Even most people who falsely think “the science” has established wearing masks prevents the spread of coronavirus, in addition to individuals who know better but wear masks to avoid punishment or uncomfortable confrontation, are aware of the dehumanizing effect.
The “new normal” is not normal at all. Indeed, it is a danger to our health and fulfillment.
The Green Book was published from the 1930s through the 1960s. It proved to be a valuable aid for many people. The Green Book provided in its pages information about businesses — restaurants, hotels, gas stations, night clubs, and more — that welcomed black individuals. This was during a time when many businesses turned away black people or treated them much less favorably than they treated white people.

Decades back that was often the case too. Then, the letters of the channel MTV stood for music television. In those days long past the channel played music videos most of each day. Now, I want my MTV again, this time with the letters standing for maskless television.
The long-awaited medical study from Denmark examining the ability of face masks to protect people from coronavirus was finally published on Wednesday. Fortunately, there are still some cracks through which information challenging the follow the pseudoscience torrent can emerge. Through one of these cracks, this study providing evidence counter to the propaganda dominant in media and government communications has been able to reach public view.
The National Football League (NFL) has jumped with fervor into establishing and enforcing mandates that players and coaches wear masks in the name of countering coronavirus. The NFL is taking this action despite it not being demonstrated that masks provide any net protection against coronavirus infection, and despite the fact that coronavirus does not pose a major risk of death or even serious sickness for most people.
Traveling around Texas, I have found that areas where election votes go strongly in favor of Republican candidates tend, during the coronavirus crackdown, to be the best for stopping for gas, food, or other shopping, or just to use a restroom. In these areas it seems I am least likely to be accosted by some person telling me to put on a mask. Indeed, often in these areas a store will not have a “Masks Required” sign on the door and employees will not be wearing masks or will be wearing them on their chins or with their noses exposed.
“Masks work? NO” began a Saturday Twitter post by Scott W. Atlas, a top coronavirus advisor for President Donald Trump. In the remainder of the tweet, Atlas proceeded to briefly relate support for this conclusion and for the proposition that masks being promoted as a means to limit the spread of coronavirus infections cause “many harms.”
Because Atlas dared to challenge the “wear your mask” mantra supported by phantom science, Twitter removed Atlas’ tweet.
In a Friday Reason article by Zuri Davis, Davis discusses a conversation she had the day before with Libertarian Party presidential nominee Jo Jorgensen. It was interesting to see Davis recount in the article that Jorgensen expressed approval of mask mandates for government buildings.
