There was much speculation toward the end of Donald Trump’s term as president of the United States that Trump would pardon Edward Snowden, Julian Assange, or both of these men who were responsible for exposing vast amounts of wrongdoing by the US government. But, it did not come to pass. Why? Glenn Greenwald, who played a key role in helping Snowden expose information about the US government’s mass surveillance programs and who advocated in public and behind the scenes that Trump pardon both men, has some interesting thoughts about that.

Unlike other witnesses at the hearing, Turley did not give the deed his blessing.
George Washington University Law Professor Jonathan Turley is not impressed with the impeachment case being made against President Donald Trump. In a Wednesday editorial at The Hill, Turley contends that United States House of Representatives members arguing that Trump should be impeached for committing crimes of bribery, extortion, and obstruction are setting up for “the narrowest impeachment in history with the most dubious claims of criminal conduct.”

President Donald Trump received much unfounded criticism after he commented Tuesday at Twitter that the impeachment process being pursued against him in the United States House of Representatives is a lynching.
In a Friday The Intercept editorial, Mehdi Hasan wrote that President Donald Trump “and his acolytes” have been “banging their anti-Semitic drum in plain sight” since United States House of Representatives Speaker Nancy Pelosi’s September 24 announcement of an impeachment inquiry in regard to Trump. But, Hasan then offers no substantial evidence to back this bold claim.
Interviewed this week at Cheddar, author and former United States House of Representatives Member David Stockman called the effort to impeach President Donald Trump a “clown show.” Further, argues Stockman, this clown show can result in Sen. Elizabeth Warren (D-MA) becoming the Democratic presidential nominee.
