A Pew Research Center poll conducted July 20 through August 9 found that 60 percent of polled Americans do not view data centers as good neighbors, answering that they would be “not to” or “not at all” “comfortable with a new data center operating in their area.” Nonetheless, there are instances of government in America making special deals to encourage the creation of data centers near people’s homes. It seems like public service is being flipped on its head.
